The City of Weyburn (“the City”) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide services for the following parts:

•     Part 1: Water main replacement at two (2) locations within Weyburn, SK.

Location 1: Railway Ave (Between 10th Street and 13th Street)

• See Appendix A for underground drawings.

• Provide and maintain temporary, overland water service to fifteen (15) properties for the duration of the project, via connection to hydrant(s) in proximity.

• Replacement of approximately 245 meters of 150 mm AC water main and associated infrastructure with 150 mm PVC C-900 water main from valve #53 (east leg of the crescent) to valve #56 (west leg of the crescent).

• Replacement, Reconnection and Renewal to include all materials – include costs to reestablish fifteen (15) service connections (3/4” and 1” sizes of service), replace one (1) hydrant tee and lead (remaining AC pipe to the isolation valve) with PVC C-900 (hydrant and valve do not need replacing) at hydrant #21, replace four (4) 45-degree elbows on the watermain.

• Supply, grading and compaction of backfill, subbase and base materials.

  Location 2: Coteau Ave (9^th Street to 11^th Street)

• See Appendix B for underground drawings and site layout

• Provide and maintain temporary, overland water service to ten (10) properties for the duration of the project, via connection to hydrant(s) in proximity

• Material supply and replacement of approximately 200 meters of 250 mm AC water main and associated infrastructure with 250 mm PVC C-900 water main between valve #154 and the cross at 11^th Street intersection 

• Supply and replacement of 250 mm valves – #155, #156, and #164

• Supply and replacement of two 250 mm x 250 mm x 150 mm x 150 mm cross at the intersections of 10^th Street and 11^th Street 

• Material supply, replacement, reconnection and renewal – reestablish ten (10) service connections (five 3/4”, two 1”, and three unknown sizes of service). As-built drawings noting service location, size, and type will be required following construction completion

• Supply and replacement of hydrant tee and approximately 3.5 meters of AC lead to the isolation valve with 150mm PVC C-900 (hydrant and valve do not need replacing) at hydrant #78, supply and install hydrant tee and isolation valve 1m off the watermain and replace approximately 3.5 m of AC lead with 150mm PVC C-900 up to the street curb at hydrant #77 (hydrant does not need replacing)

• Supply, grading and compaction of bedding sand, backfill, subbase and base materials

• All traffic accommodation for the duration of the work

•     Part 2: Street valve replacement at nine (9) locations within Weyburn, SK.

•     Part 3: Fire hydrant replacement at eight (8) locations within Weyburn, SK. 

***Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 will be awarded together as one project; therefore contractor must be able to compete all three parts of the work scope within the outlined schedule milestones. All work is subject to budget constraints therefore select locations may be deleted from the work scope to remain within budget allotment.***
